Never Feel Hunger By Following Healthy Diet Plans

Never Feel Hunger By Following Healthy Diet Plans

Often people associate hunger with weight loss.  The fear of constant hunger causes many people to avoid a weight loss plan.

Many people would rather be overweight than to be hungry all the time.  I know that’s how I feel.  I really enjoy eating and there’s absolutely no way I would constantly be hungry just for the sake of being thin.  To me, its not much of a life if you’re always hungry.

The body’s natural instinct reminds us to eat when we feel hunger.  Hunger is the signal that tells the body that it needs food right away because it’s in danger.  This self preservation instinct often makes us overeat in response to the feeling of starvation.

The human body is unaware that we are living in a modern world with plenty of food.  It responds to hunger just like it would if we lived in a world where we had to hunt for our food.  It’s really not a good idea to ignore the instinct that protects us from starving to death.

This may come as a real surprise, but you don’t have to experience hunger to lose weight.  In fact, eating regularly and keeping yourself full will help you stick to your eating plan and reach your goals.  If you are able to keep you hunger in check, you can avoid overeating.  It also keeps you from feeling frustrated, out of control, and miserable.

Rather than eating three large meals a day, eat five or six small meals.  When you go to long between meals, when you finally eat you will be famished an unable to control how much you eat.  When you eat small meals more frequently you will always be satisfied and in complete control.

Many people try to save on total calories by skipping meals.  When you skip meals you will end up compensating for the missed meals at some point in the day.  When you go for lengthy periods without food, the metabolism will slow down.  The body then activates its survival instinct and burns fewer calories.

Another good trick is to eat slowly.  It takes about 20 minutes for the body to get the signal from the brain that it’s full.  When you eat too fast, you can end up eating unneeded calories before your body realizes it’s full.  By eating slowly, the brain can send the right signals to tell you to stop eating before you’ve overeaten.

Remember, you don’t have to starve yourself in order to lose weight.  This is completely unnecessary.  Start getting used to the idea that starvation is not necessary for successful weight loss.

A healthy eating plan will help you lose weight without deprivation or starvation.  Weight loss can be permanent when you lose it in a healthy manner, allowing you to keep it off for good.
